This video is so moving. It basically says it all. The ONLY kind of love I want. One were we meet in the middle and live as one. Our main priority is each others welfare and the care of our children and critters. A place where we can feel safe, heard and appreciated…a place to lift each other up and encourage one another.
Hey, baby…I hope you’ve had a great day? It was busy here. I ran errands, did some quick Christmas shopping (and I mean quick)…grocery store and then continued packing. As of now, the first run to MS will happen this Saturday. We’ll get there late then the unloading will be Sunday mid-morning.
After this first haul is settled, I’ll be driving to my sisters in Louisiana for our little family Xmas on Monday, 12/22 in the evening. It will be very simple. I’ll likely stay a few nights then head back to the farm on Xmas day? We’ll see. I’ll only be there for 2 or 3 days then drive back to the city. There’s still so much work to do to prepare for the next run of two trucks. Yikes.
On a sad note, my precious pup has started to noticeably decline. This seems to be happening suddenly. While at the farm last, I noticed that his hind legs were weakening?! He was struggling to stand when up on the bed. The soft mattress was making it difficult for the first time in 14.5 years. He’s 101 in dog years so I know anything can happen at any time. As I’ve shared, I’ve been dealing with his seizures since 12/9/24. Basically, a year. It’s very dramatic and nerve wreaking when it happens but, as you know of me, I can’t half-love or half-care. I’m ALL IN and determined to give him the max lifespan…though to be honest, I don’t think we have a lot of time left. If his hind legs go out entirely in the coming weeks, I’ll have to make a decision. Send extra love my way because it will be devastating, yet expected.
He’s been my constant companion for many sunrises. I remember seeing your handsome face coming up the stairs in the front foyer hall at your house….you were grinning and put your hand out towards him – wanting to introduce yourself. Precious moment. Yet again, YOU were the ONLY one there that showed any love towards him. They all acted like he was a little monster that wanted to attack or bite them. Lol. Truly insane. He LOVES everybody! Dogs KNOW spirits…and they cannot be fooled. The pup KNEW that they hated me and talked about me behind my back incessantly. THAT’S why he growled at them but wagged his little tail at you. hahaha. I’ll wag my little tail for you, too. Lol.
I saw your posts today….and, per typical, I “think” I can read between the lines and…..yes, I have a few thoughts I need to share, once again – just not tonight. I will in the next few days.
Get some good rest and keep me close, okay? Wish we had a candle burning….some gentle music softly playing and were all cuddled together. Puppy, do you know how much I love you? I hope so. Nite Nite. xo
