We just finished getting this first truck unloaded. One down!!! I’m headed to the farm to check on the pup, wrap gifts and relax a bit. I’ll drive to my sister’s home tomorrow in Louisiana – then we’ll have our little family Christmas dinner & gift exchange tomorrow evening.
I’ve got some dinner cooking now in the crockpot. Can you say “jack of all trades”? 😉💪🏻 I use to cook for my dad…he absolutely loved it especially after mama died. He missed her so much & all the warmth and love she provided (in many ways) over their 56 year marriage.
The house at the farm is a simple 1 story 80’s ranch house. Very inexpensive build but it was the best they could do & all they could afford. I could see daddy in the living room from the kitchen. He was always in his big comfy recliner…watching tv, reading or on the phone. When I’m in the kitchen (since 12/2009)…I almost always see YOU in your comfy chair watching/studying plays…while catching a little tv.
I’m so looking forward to OUR time. It will be soft, relaxing, simple, EXCITING and everything in between.
