I hope this note finds you well. I’m worried about you. You’re breathing was so labored in your video post – just didn’t seem like you…you’re always somewhat fit. I hope you’re okay?
Things here are ongoing. I will be honest…many days I truly wonder how this can still be going on, yet it is. I’m not sure if I told you but I think I did? The realtor I chose suggested that I get at least 50% or more out of the basement. He also said that I had to do a good bit of remedial work before he could legally list this house for sale. We’ve been working on various things for several days now and hope to finish up by Friday. A large support beam had to be removed and re-installed, about half of the old cinderblocks had to be covered with a plastic PVC type wall covering. They come in 4×8 foot sheets and have to be glued to the cinderblocks. It was a JOB! We are also removing the old flooring tiles. I don’t think they are asbestos but don’t want to deal with any drama “if” they are? I got masks for my guys and we are getting it all out and removed. The floors (concrete) will be primed and freshly painted.
I brought many things upstairs to the main floor to accommodate the basement work. Currently, I am working on packing the things I brought upstairs and hope to get that moved out to storage either Saturday or Sunday? We’ll see. If I’m successful this week (with all this – yikes) then the photographer will FINALLY come next Tuesday – a week from tomorrow. He’s scheduled, I’m just hoping I can be ready. After the images are taken, the listing will go live in 24-48 hours.
While I didn’t want to wait to list the house and, frankly, was a bit annoyed with my realtor (whom I like), I think things will have worked out exactly as they should (in the long run). When this house gets listed and if I got an offer in the first 2 weeks, I’d be under massive pressure to get the huge basement packed, moved AND repaired – all in 30 days time. I’ll update as things progress. I want this to be over so much…I’ve been working on it for such long time. My parents farm is calling me.
I’m going to write a long note and share many of my thoughts and concerns – soon. I won’t promise in the next few days but within a week or so. There’s just so much going on here. I’ve got lots of things on my mind (what’s new?) and want to share those with you.
